The Accommodation and delicious cuisine: The meals at Leeuwenbosch Country House were simply divine, whether it was the three-course meal by the crackling fireplace or the unforgettable bush braai under the stars. It was like dining with celebrities at a fancy awards ceremony.

My family and I had a fantastic time during our stay at Leeuwenbosch Country House. Bill Faulds, the charismatic 80-year-old owner, made us feel like we had gained a lifelong friend. The informal and lively bar evenings allowed us to interact with other guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our game drives were incredibly successful, thanks to our skilled guide who ensured we spotted the Big Five. The beautiful decor and flower-decorated beds in our room added a special touch, and the staff even replaced a painting without us asking. We enjoyed delicious meals and had the pleasure of chatting with Bill and Rose. We'll definitely be back, and my daughter already misses the dogs!

I absolutely loved the decoration of Leeuwenbosch Country House. It is a beautiful old country house with original fixtures and fittings. The large rooms are tastefully decorated and full of antiques and family portraits. It truly felt like stepping back in time to a time of gracious living. Also, the common areas like the sitting room and bar were very accessible for senior people, with comfortable seating and easy navigation.
If I had to ask for one thing to make the vacation better for senior people, it would be for the breakfast and high tea to be served on the verandah when it's warm and sunny. The dining room can be quite dark, and enjoying meals in the natural light would have been lovely.

The staff treated us like royalty, making our stay absolutely incredible. We were well taken care of and felt so welcomed. The reserve was stunningly beautiful and we got to see almost all of the big five animals on our safari rides. Our ranger, Obutke, made every safari fun and enjoyable. The meals were delicious and abundant, and the cook deserves our compliments. We highly recommend this place to friends and family. The game drives were amazing, with our ranger sharing valuable information about the animals and their habitat. The food was excellent and the staff friendly. The pub was a great place to relax and chat with other guests. The country house itself was beautifully decorated and our beds were adorned with flowers. The staff even changed a painting in our room without us asking, showing great attention to detail. We were lucky to see all of the big five thanks to our ranger's efforts. The evening meal with entertainment provided by the "choir" was a highlight. the staff were excellent and the experience was mind-blowing.

The main house had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and the surroundings were simply beautiful. The manager, Kerry, was always available for a friendly chat or to help with any issues that arose. I particularly loved the evening ritual of enjoying a pre-dinner drink with Bill and Rose - they were such fascinating characters with incredible stories to tell. The lodge itself was incredible, with a clean and spacious room and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The breakfast and evening meals were delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The safari guides, Rowan and Mali, were exceptional and provided us with a wealth of information on the animals, plants, and conservation efforts in the area. I also appreciated the lawn area and pool overlooking a watering hole, where we could relax on sun loungers and spot animals in the distance. Although there were a few small areas of improvement such as the pool needing some updates and the afternoon tea requiring a bit more thought, these were minor issues and did not overshadow the amazing experience I had during my stay. I highly recommend Leeuwenbosch Country House for a truly memorable and enjoyable getaway.
